Event Details

*ACLP 2 is an advanced program that covers eight-in-depth topics consisting of challenging concepts and hands-on exercises. It is designed for those who have completed the first ACLP program or equivalent field experience.*

Students will visit, observe live samples as well as review photos of the Southwestern plant palate. The course will cover taxonomy, leaf anatomy & terminology and the proper use of these plants.

• Identify trees, shrubs, accents commonly used in the Desert Southwest
• Study growth habits, characteristics and use of these plants
• Review botanical definitions pertaining to plant anatomy
• Identify and classify weeds species common to landscape areas
• Discuss taxonomy and how plants are named and classified

* It is recommended for all students to have taken the Plant ID I class or time spent studying class material. Plants in level 1 class will be included on Plant ID II exam.

CANCELATION POLICY

Substitutions are available at any time or you may reschedule to attend any of the same topic workshops within that month if there is availability. To qualify for a refund, notification must be received by ALCA no later than 72 hours prior to the workshop.  After 72 hours prior, no refund will be given.
