PLEASE NOTE: The presenter for Anuuals & Perennials is presenting remotely from Tucson. You are welcome to join us at the ALCA office, but we wanted you to be aware the presenter will not be in the classroom. If you would rather not come in to ALCA and watch the presenter on screen, you can sign up for the Zoom option on the same date. 

Annuals and Perennials

· Discuss selection and transportation of annuals

· Explain bed preparation for annuals or herbaceous
perennials: soil preparation, calculating amendments or mulch needed

· Identify the blooming season for common annuals and
herbaceous perennials

· Discuss proper planting techniques

· Discuss flower bed maintenance including irrigation, fertilization,     pruning, deadheading and mulching

· Troubleshoot common color bed diseases, insects, weeds and abiotic problems

EVENT REGISTRATION IS NON-REFUNDABLE - Substitutions are allowed at any time.

What is the ACLP certification process?
Anyone may attend the workshops to increase their knowledge and skills. To become ACLP certified, each student must attend all 10 workshops and pass the exams. An additional $25 will be required if you do not take the exam within the two week deadline after the workshop. Students will be declared an AZ Certified Landscape Professional when he/she receives a minimum score of 70% on each of the exams.  Students will have two additional opportunities to pass the exam at $25 per retake.
