Dwight Faires was born and raised in Escondido, California.   A few years after high school, Dwight took a position with Hunter Industries, building and designing the company's own injection molding machines. Working alongside the legendary Edwin J. Hunter for 10 years, Dwight helped build over 200 machines for the San Marcos California molding facilities until 1996.

Dwight relocated to Arizona in 1996 and took an inside sales associate position in the Irrigation Division of Turf Irrigation & Waterworks Supply, now called HD Supply. Dwight performed a variety of functions including direct phone sales, outside sales support, processing all municipal bids and material take-offs on upcoming projects for five years. Dwight was eventually promoted to outside sales where he was directly responsible for some of the largest landscape construction firms in the Phoenix metro area.

In 2003, Dwight accepted a position with Vista Professional Outdoor Lighting as their Technical Specialist and was promoted to Southwest Territory District Sales Manager.

Dwight is a long time ALCA supporter and has contributed in many ways; most notably for his photography skills. Dwight loves the outdoors and photography is his favorite hobby. In 2007, Dwight was selected as ALCA's Outstanding Associate Member of the Year and for the seven years was Director of Awards for ALCA's Excellence in Landscaping Awards Program.

Dwight serves as the Past Board President of ALCA.
