ALCA PAC (Arizona Landscape Contractors' Association Political Action Committee is an Arizona political committee organized for the purpose of influencing the result of elections at the state, county, city, town, district or precinct levels in Arizona. Only individuals and political committees may contribute to ALCA PAC, corporate contributions are prohibited by law. Contributions are not tax deductible for federal income tax purposes. A.R.S. 16-905(E) limits the total contributed by an individual to candidates and committees who give to candidates to $5,610 in calendar year 2008. An individual's maximum annual contribution to ALCA PAC is therefore $5,610 minus any political contributions made in 2008 to Arizona political campaigns. This limit does not apply to or include in the calculation toward the annual limit contributions made to federal candidates (like presidential or congressional campaigns.) The maximum annual contributions for couples to Arizona candidates and political committee is $11,220 from a joint account and both parties must sign the checks. State law requires ALCA PAC to obtain and periodically report the name, mailing address, occupation and employer's name for each contributor.
